OK, maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I have now tried to get the
program to work on three computers (one PC and two laptops) with similar
results. The programs installs fine and sets up without a problem. The "1's"
run at approximately 50% and the recovery rate is adjusted to 100%. Neither
the bandplan nor polarity of the signal is an issue as I have been
monitoring the systems for quite some time. I can monitor the control signal
through the computer speakers, so that too tells me that the signal is where
it should be. It also makes no difference whether it is connected to the mic
or line-in input on the PC. I can load all of the frequencies for a system
(I've tried multiple systems) and start searching, but that's all it does. I
have yet to receive a trunked transmission or detect a talkgroup. All of the
frequencies/channels receive transmissions when in Manual mode. I've got
well over 20 years of experience in scanners, decoding and programming, yet
this has me baffled. I have a couple of specific questions. First, must the
mode of the control channel be FSK, or will it work in FM mode? What about
the squelch setting? Finally, does "Search" need to be pressed after
pressing the "Trunk" button? Thanks for any help. I'd love to be a beta
tester for this software and would really like to see this program succeed.
I just need to get it up and running first! It's got to be something I am
simply overlooking.
Thanks,
J.T.
