I don't think there is anything fanatical about it at all, nor was I trying
to torment anybody or felt tormented myself. Lucky you - is all I can say.
Or "wish I was there".

That does not mean that some other guys out there do not need some support
and advice even if they have been in RF professionally for over 30 years and
especially so if they have to find ways to reduce RFI and EMI that they have
not perhaps encountered before. Yes, even an old dog can learn some new
tricks from others now and then. There is no obligation to part with your
supreme insight into the matter if you do not like the subject matter -
unless you really want to help and not just spread cynicism as you so
rightly diagnose on yourself. Fortunately there have been others who have
added their rather more helpful comments and have guided me along the way to
improvement. Thats what this list is all about, isn't it ? So why the flame
?

For those who think RFI is hogwash and perhaps "all in the mind" only- check
out http://www.rfiservices.info/. Martin runs courses on RFI for the ARRL
and others. A Google search will do wonders for the nonbelievers too.

I am amazed at some of the issues people are getting.

Why not just build a lead lined housing and sit it in there.
maybe that would create a cooling issue and you would need to add a fan to
cool the box as well.
But then there is the interference from the cooling fan!

Oh the torments they are sometimes unbearable!

Ok, I am a cynic but I do wonder, I have several computers and monitors
running but dont suffer from any of this, maybe my soldering on the coax is
better than most, who knows, but at the end of the day its a computer
controlled radio, accept it, you will get some issues but dont get
fanatical about it.
