[PCR-1000] ICOM IC-PCR1000 software on Windows XP

Thanks for the tip, I hadn't tried it but I still get the General
Protection Fault and the application closes.  It seems that Sony and AMD
have really done something screwy with their implementation of the latest
Microsoft screw hence the Icom software will simply not work with this
notebook.  I have tried and tried and tried suggestion after suggestion and
until someone else makes the mistake and purchases one of these Sony
machines and figures out how to make the program work but so far as I can
tell some folks have made it work with the Intel processor but haven't
heard of any that have made it work with the AMD.
