[PCR-1000] A Few Questions...

I've been looking around the net for a few days now and have yet to find any 
information on the Packet connection on the 1000. Does anyone know of any 
website or have any info themselves on what you can do with that connection, 
what kind of cable to use and how to make/where to get it and what can you 
connect besides a TNC if anything?

Also, part 2, i've been looking around for a good shortwave antenna that i 
can make or get for very little cash. I've been playing witha "Slinky 
Antenna" inside and a long wire outside.  What kind, if any, antenna tuner 
would be recommended to help with reception. By the way, i don't have the 
DSP option yet but for now even that's a little out of my price range.
