Hello Scott,

  I agree 100%, it's possibly the best add-on to the basic receiver.

  A question to the list: some time ago I had to realign the receiver because an
  EEPROM  corruption;  recently  a  friend of mine had the same problem with his
  unit  (it  had all the "symptoms"). We opened it and my friend kept touching a
  signal  generator  probe  (on  the component side) around 1st and 2nd IFs. By
  simply doing it the radio got back to work. I'm puzzled, any explanation from
  you all?
