[PCR-1000] Antenna suggestions wanted

Phuzz,

It's not easy to get the equipment to test a ground, it takes much more than 
a simple multimeter (http://www.tradeport.on.ca/ApplicationNotes/aemc.pdf).  
Much will depend on your soil.  "Loam" is the best and sand is the worst.  I 
suggest digging a hole around you ground, keep it filled with water, and add 
rock salt.  The salinity (aka "brine") will reduce the soil resistivity 
well.  Theoretically, anything less than 10 ohms is good, 1 ohm is fairly 
simple to achieve with water and salt.

I could comment on antenna but I really don't know that much.
