[PCR-1000] first experience with a PCR1000

Hi, folks,

I obtained an PCR-1000 for the ARRL Lab, to permit us to do some =
computer-controlled testing=20
of radiated signal levels.

Do any of you have experience talking to the PCR-1000 through the Com =
port in Quick Basic? =20
I know Basic and DOS are a bit on the old side now, but I wanted an =
open-source project whose=20
code could be pretty universally understood, and most modern programmers =
can easily dust off=20
their Basic skills.  Besides, I know Basic better than I know any other =
Language.=20

I left my informational sig intact on this post to explain what ARRL is, =
