[PCR-1000] Good scanning software?

Daniel,
As far as I know, the PCR-1000 is considered to be a 'wideband receiver',
not a typical scanner.
For trunking you would need a 'receiver' with additional hardware built-in
to follow trunk transmissions, or a second radio.  The PCR-1000 by itself is
not made for trunking.

The software VisualRadio from Germany is now selling for $1,650.00

RadioCom 4 by Bonito is not so much a 'scanner' software, but more for
people interested in:
a.. Decoding : RTTY, FAX, CW, SSTV, SITOR-B and PSK-31. (not Packet)
a.. Computer controlled DSP for tailoring your audio with separate bass and
treble controls
a.. Tweak your filters for smoothing the upper and lower ends of the audio
spectrum.
a.. Engage the Notch Filter to reduce annoying pops, buzzes and other
interference.
a.. Use yours computer's sound card to enhance the signal.
a.. Record incoming audio on your hard drive
a.. Basic Radio control functions with spectrum scope

I am using different versions of RadioCom   by Bonito (not to be confused
with RadioComm = FreeWare) for many years now with my different radios (
NRD535, R-75), including the PCR-1000 and never had a problem with the
EEPROM !
