You're gonna love it. First off though, if you haven't ordered an antenna go ahead and do that. The little telescoping thing that comes with the radio is not that good. Also, start thinking about software...and the first thing you should do once it's hooked up is to backup the EEPROM. There are plenty of software packages out there to do that for you.
