Hi All,
I have had my "1000" for about a week, although I have been looking into =
it for several months and have been following this group for a while too.=
I really like the radio and find it to be very sensitive, I have the DS=
P option in mine (it really helps out in the HF freq's). I also have wha=
t I think is a very rare (in the US anyway) manual controller for mine. =
This item allows me to use the radio without computer control. It allows=
access to all functions and includes a very nice led display of freq, mo=
de, signal strength, memory channel, tuning step etc. My version will al=
low only 20 memories, but a new version will hold at least 100 and can be=
infrared controlled (common TV remote). I don't know if anyone is inter=
ested in this item, but I find it really a great addition to the radio. =
 It is made in Italy.

I plan on getting Talk PCR soon, but I also find many of the problems men=
tioned on the list. The most annoying is that scanning stops on this old=
W95 pentium machine quite often. As I am upgrading it to w98, is this s=
canning issue still evident??
Thanks for all the great posts and I hope I can add some comments in the =
future.
