[PCR-1000] PCR-1000 Scanning with Win 95 Laptop

This is a problem in the radio.  My -1000, and most other -1000's that I
know of, exhibit this same problem.   I did converse with Icom in 1998 about
this, and they finally admitted that they knew of the problem but did not
have a fix for it.

There are times when mine will scan for hours.  There are times when it will
only run for a few minutes..... might be related to band switching in a
single bank of scan frequencies....  Should be easy to fix with the
controlling software - just keep 'stopping' and 'starting' the scan every
minute or two.
