[PCR-1000] PCR1000 Windows XP

I downloaded TalkPCR and found it does at least turn on the radio in
Windows XP which is far more than the unsupported Icom software, however,
this isn't the solve-all that everyone on this list has touted either. I
spent over a hour setting up a scan list and the TalkPCR software promptly
belched it out and lost it.  I NEVER had this problem with the Icom
software.  In the short time before TalkPCR belched and lost the 58 channel
scan list, I was NOT impressed with it as a scanner.  Further, I was not
nearly as impressed with it as I was the Icom software to just "tune
around" various bands either.  I guess for some folks if Talk PCR fits the
bill that is fine but it isn't what I am looking for in a control program
for my PCR1000.

It DOES NOT GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT the Sony though and that is good.
