[PCR-1000] PCR1000 Windows XP

I am not real comfortable with most of the 3rd party software for control
of the PCR1000.  I know there are list members that have never used
anything but this or that third party program with no problems but I am the
most unlucky cuss you have ever met, first time I used it, the PCR1000
would blow up and that would be that.

Your statements on Microsoft are just one of the many many reasons that I
can see to get Mr. Gates behind bars and keep him there.  He has pepuated
more grief on millions in the world than almost any other person in
history. I get the shaft from his products every time I turn around.  That
is why my primary computer is a Macintosh.  I never use the Windows machine
for anything except control of my Davis Weather Station and until recently
the PCR1000 which is fading fast.

I have tried every suggestion on the list server to make the Icom software
work, all to no avail.  It is apparent that the Sony VAIO FXA53 handles
things differently than most of the other machines as I am sure I would
have had a "fix" by now.  So as you can see my statement above is accurate,
I am very unlucky when it comes to anything like this, always have been and
always will be.

We are almost to "strike three" with the PCR1000.
