The only way to tell, to me right now, is to perform the mod and see it
works.  I just bought a Yaesu FRG100 with Keypad and filter for a good
price, so I might be fiddling with that reciever for awhile.  I need a
Watson WAF notch filter for some of my VHF/UHF frequencies on the PCR-1000
as I get alot of cross over between the frequency suspected.  I will
eventually have time to do the mod and report here whether it works on my
1000.  I think I have a serial number in the 8xx's.  I'll have to give it
another look.  I remember looking at it when I posted my serial number here
in response to the 'poll' but now have a pre-amp stacked above the 1000 and
it's not so easy to get at!
