[PCR-1000] PCR1000 Connection problems

I had the same problem a while back. Then I was using a very long serial =
cable...
This was very frustrating... Try to change the settings for your serial =
port.
You do this from the control panel/System.
My settings are:
57600 bps
8 bit
Parity: none
stop: 1
flow: none

(I use the highest settings in FIFO-buffers)
If this do not work.. try plugging the scanner to the next serial port.
This may sound stupid... but believe me... the OS is stupid too.

This works fine for me (with a 10m cable that others told me would not =
work...
The most important thing using a long serial cable is the quality).
