Hi All,

I too have seen the same problem both with the original Icom software and=

also with the far superior TalkPCR.
The spurious signal is 150 kHz HI always - but only 2 to 3 Db above the
noise floor - and does not cause me any problems. It could be a 'batch'
related artifact - the Serial No. of my PCR is 4347. The only (slightly)
annoying problem for me is the number of internally generated spurii. Hav=
e
you tried running the Spectrum Analyser of TalkPCR with the antenna conne=
ctor
terminated with a 50 ohm dummy load?

I first saw it just after firing up the receiver for the first time - I
had not backed up the EPROM then..... However, I've tried loading the EPR=
OM
with the 'Average Value' set - no change to the spurious noted..

Incidentally - has anyone noted any crystal ageing? I set my unit up very=

carefully some 2 years ago. I noticed recently that some stations are abo=
ut
800 to 1000 Hz low - I need to recalibrate!!

All the best,

John G3PNJ/DJ0MBK
