No problems here with the ICOM software in Windows XP. I have both a
brand new WinXP install and an upgraded PC that went from Me to 2000
then to XP. 

You may want to try the BUILT IN WinXP compatibility tool.

START|PROGRAMS|ACCESSORIES|Windows Compatibility Wizard 

(or something like that). It has fixed a few games that I had trouble
with. Namely Rainbow Six which had a sticky key problem. I also have a
few DOS programs I use (databases) that got working after I used the
above tool.
