Probably would be as long as it has a working serial port.

You might want to look at using a Palm Pilot.  There is a piece of shareware
for the PCR-1000 that I've used ("PCRPilot").  The software is not as
feature rich as the ICOM's laptop software, but the battery powered Palm
Pilot makes for a much lighter package.  All you need is a serial port based
older Palm Pilot (PALM III or Palm Professional), it's serial cable, and a
DB-9 null-modem adapter ($6 at Radio Shack).
