  Somewhere between a public comment and personal advice, I'd say that
comments from somebody who can't figure out how to manage their subscription,
given that every single posting includes the information on how to access
the website that manages it, should be ignored.  Followup email from the
same clueless people should be filtered straight to the bitbucket.

  Mailing lists are the IQ test of the Internet.  If you're smart enough
to sign up for them, you should be smart enough to unsubscribe also.  If
you're not, tough, learn!  The mailing list admin is there to assist you
with technical issues concerning the mailing list.  He's not there to take
abuse from you because you're too stupid to follow directions and he's
perfectly justified in ignoring you if you can't hold a civil conversation
with him.
