Well folks, an update to a post I made a few days ago...You CANNOT use
the Dish Network switchbox idea, as it requires a DIGITAL signal to
activate the switch of the relays.
But...
I told the man at the sat. tv parts place what I was intending to do, he
handed me an old
Electronic (not digital) switchbox formerly used in regular sat tv
applications for folks who had both Ku and C band dishes in the yard ...
If you can find one, you are looking for a
"Tru-Spec Electronic Satellite Switch - Model ABE-C-Ku" which is rated
400-1750 Mhz. The one I got is being sent to Krat, hopefully he will
let us all know how it works.

Tru-Spec is still in business, someone who has the time might do a
websearch for us?

Tom

sound like this is a multicoupler not a switch with both feeds coming in
and
the set just selects the right channel range, would be the same if you
used a
coupler and ran multiple scanner antennas into it for the different
bands,
it would work but not the best set up.
