[PCR-1000] receiver location in house/Antenna relay et al

Hi Graham......

Lightning is a threat....  I Took a 5800$ hit back in the mid-eighties.....
killed all my toys.

My approach to lightning is to have 'riders' on my home owners policy to
cover any catastrophic losses 100%.  I 'schedule'  (that's what the
insurance people call it) my toys and my wife's modest jewelry collection,
and an antique shotgun which belonged to her father.  Insurance people like
this, of course, for the money, (it costs about 140$ a year) and it also
tells them you are serious about losses.  I never turn in little things like
a screen door blowing off, but when I call for a fire (2) or flood ( the
back tank of the toilet split and put 2 inches of water in the main floor
during the night) or the lightning hits (2, one was 5800$ and one the
following spring was 1800$)  they come right out and take good care of us.
Who is my carrier?  I am in good hands with------------.  I have no
connection with them. Oh, yea... the other thing that endears you to them is
to accept the recommendation you increase your coverage when they suggest it
every couple of years. I pay 640$/year, have 125% replacement coverage and a
half million liability.  Worth every penny to know I can come home to a
smoldering basement with just a chimney standing there and not have the
family be in the dumpster too.

That's a really interesting set-up. What about lightning though? No concerns
there?
