[PCR-1000] receiver location in house/Antenna relay et al

Outdoor temps range are usually Ok (except the bottom ends in the Northern
US).

Your car is another story.  A closed car, parked in the sun, can easily
reach 150 degrees or more even here in the northeast.  In Phoenix or Tucson
180 degree temps are not uncommon in locked cars - this kills a number of
children and pets every year in Phoenix!

A large cooler, filled with the 'blue reusable ice packs' each day, would
fix the problem is you could install the radio in the trunk.  The Southwest
US police departments have a problem for the past 10 years - ever since the
radio has gotten small enough to be a one-piece unit under the dash.

I've known of folks whose cell phones would not work for a while after being
left in a locked car in the sun during the 'summer' - in Phoenix that's from
mid-April to mid-November....
