Yo Group......
I just got to tell you all how my PCR-1000 is configured and where it is
located in the house. It is not in the house, it is 80 feet up the tower
right under the 18 foot duel band antenna and it really cooks!
No coax loss, well, a foot of 9913 and couple of connectors. Serial port
works ok for about 60 ft of wire as my shack is on the second floor.
Receiver is in a tupperware container (I'm serious!) I have a video camera
in there too, one of them little x-10 Annaconda's... It watches the back
yard. Four floodlights at 40 feet are x-10 controlled. I am located on Lake
Huron and listen to the marine channels and commercial aircraft. I am on
the route from Boston/New York/Toronto to Chicago/MN St Paul and west. I
run TalkPCR. Took a while to get it to work good....
