[PaQSO] rover, you're a dupe

It's actually quite simple Pete.

Some people believe exactly what their computer logging program.

Maybe their program is out of date.
Maybe it can't handle mobiles or rovers.

Maybe it wasn't designed for state QSO parties, at least not the version they're running (see item 1)
And maybe... they didn't bother to log /M, /R, or /$$$ (county abbreviation) as required by the software to work correctly.

They may also be unfamiliar with how QSO parties, this one in particular, work. So they don't realize that there's no longer a penalty, if there ever was one, for working dupes. (And who wants to go back to paper logs for hundreds of contacts again, anyway? Not me!)

Of course, some of them are just plain stubborn or set in their ways, and what they think is how they think the world should go.

But you know what? Their failure to log you when you've moved to another county is THEIR loss, and if it costs them a mult, that's THEIR problem.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

I am jealous. My XYL has made it extremely clear has no interest, not now, not after retirement. :-)

There is nothing that puts me into a near-rage quicker than hearing "you're a dupe".
-- First, there's no penalty for dupes anyway, just record the darn contact.
-- Second, yes, how can one have a big CQing signal in a QP without understanding the basics of mobiles?
-- Third, it takes 4 times longer to go through the ridiculous dialog of "are you in a new county?", "what county are you in now?", "oh OK, so what's your number" .... sheesh, just record the contact in the usual way so we can both get on with the contest!!!
