Entering as W3CG/xxx, Laurie and I are renting a minivan because neither
our Cobalt nor our Jeep are well-suited to this expedition. The rig will be
a K3 into an SGC-237 tuner and a 102" whip, well grounded on the roof of
the vehicle. Software is N1MM+. All of this is powered from a new 60 AH AGM
battery with power management from West Mountain; PWRgate and RIGrunner,
charging from a cigarette lighter plug. Our tentative itinerary includes:

ERI
CRA
WAR
FOR
ELK
MCK
CRN (?)
POT
TIO
BRA
SUL
LYC
MTR
COL
NUM
SNY
UNI
CLI
MIF
CEN
HUN
COL
BLA
CLE
INN
JEF
CLA
ARM
BUT
LAW
MER

We will stop for the night wherever we run out of stamina or time. I must
emphasize that this itinerary is tentative, especially in the areas where
we are less familiar with the roads. As we enter new counties, I plan to
start as close as possible to 7.035 and will QSY however seems appropriate.

The navigator (Laurie, N3KZI) is still working on route details. If we skip
CRN on Saturday, we will try to catch it on our way back Sunday. With
Steve (KC3WX) and Andy (N3VZ) doing almost a mirror image of our trek as
N3VZ (thanks, guys, hope to have a cup of coffee with you on the road!),
hopefully some of those tough counties will be easier this year.

73 & CU there,

-Peter, AA2AD
