EXCELLENT! Glad to hear it. I have operated from both counties
(individually) in the past and plan to get back to Potter again in the
future. Cameron was probably my all time favorite place to operate for the
PAQP the year that I was there, and was the only county that I missed that
year. It now holds a special place in my heart, for sure! I set an all
time personal best (up to that point, which I broke last year from
Somerset) while there as well as a new county record.
I have since traveled through Cameron while doing some hiking and checking
out the elk with my XYL near Benezette and on our way back home from Elk
County we traveled along PA-120 and saw many more elk very close to where I
had operated (near Sterling Run). In fact, the year that I operated from
Cameron I heard several elk bugling but missed the opportunity to see any
that year. I'll blame it on the thick fog that we had.
Enjoy your planning for the CRN/POT operation! I look forward to working
you on many bands/modes.
