That has been my experience here in Los Angeles. Although I last worked the
PQP 6 years ago, the only band that was good was 20m. Heard plenty of
stations on 40 and 80, but hard to bust through the wall of W3/W2/W8
stations working PA.

40m when the rates were so high but when they slowed down I was surprised to
get several QSOs on a seemingly dead 15m band. Made me wonder what would
have happened if I spent prime hours there.
