Okay - here is the authoritative and definitive answer. 8^)
I just followed the directions in the N1MM Manual, and here is a mechanical breakdown of what you do.
Let's set up the scenario. Let's say that I set up along route 44, which has several spots that are county line worthy. So my station is a county line of Clinton and Lycoming counties.
Looking at what I enter, a "-" means you go to the next field.
Okay here we go with the mechanics:
You work me, and find out I am a county line station. In the N1MM entry window…….
1. Enter N3LI - your sent number - the received number - and the first county.
2. Enter N3LI again. Press the space bar to re-enter the information. This re-enters the information and forces the dupe.
3. Press enter.
4. Go to the log window.
5. Select the second log entry for the County line station.
6. Right click the entry.
7. Select "Edit from the pop-up.
8. Change "Sent" so that the sent serial number matches the first log entry.
9. Back to regular operations
Try this a few times before the party - its a lot simpler to do than it is to explain. If you do this, it will be correct.
This is for N1MM only. Other programs have different ways of handling county lines specific to the individual logging program.
