Unfortunately all too true.

The county line station is one of pure altruism. There are no party benefits point wise, bonus wise. So why do people do it? They enjoy it, and are having fun.

That pretty much sums it up.
In what is a pretty overwhelming majority, Ops like County line stations, County line Operators like doing county lines, and county line logging issues are Pilot error. Getting that knowledge was affirming my opinion, and we have a record of that.
But let me help everyone here with what I hope will be an understanding of everyone of why I ask questions here from time to time.
I posted the initial query about County line stations in order to get some feedback. Useful feedback is surprisingly difficult for me to get. And a few of the comments can be a tad nasty. But that's the nature of society these days, and why it is becoming difficult to find volunteer help. So when I try to get feedback, I know I'll get a few bruises in the bargain.
Anyhow even aside from my original question, which was answered, there was good feedback in there from participants. Things like learn the software, and don't try to learn it at noon on the first day of the party. And especially Read The Manual. That might be old hat for most of us, but can serve as good advice to a first time Op.
I might even put up a faq or how-to on county line operations regarding the different softwares. Because I do answer a lot of similar questions, and while no substitute for RTM, it can make life a little easier.
