[PaQSO] Logs received query

Hey all, I want some feedback.

A few years back, I instituted the log's received pages. I also instituted email feedback when a log was emailed in.

But it's a little confusing, because In the past there was no feedback at all until the preliminary results were posted.

In way of explaining our process, the mailed logs come in and first go to our treasurer, who then sends them along to me. At that point, I go through them, and enter them onto the logs received web page. So, yes, it does take some time to get them. This sort of takes as long as it takes, because frankly, i'm dealing with a volunteer.

But the question becomes, is this actually doing a disservice? Should the logs received pages be eliminated, and we go back to the old system (actually no system) of people finding out after the entry deadline?

This year, someone sent in a log, and 2 minutes later sent me an email asking why his log wasn't posted as received on the web page, despite feedback that it was received. It was sort of funny, but it got me to thinking.

Is the whole logs received process just stressing people out? This is around 60 hours of work, and if it is detrimental, it should go.
