I happen to agree with everything you say, except that the word "data"
is the plural of the singular "datum"
Therefore 'The data that are put into it!" "....and your data are good
...."
My 4th grayde Englyshe teechur probably turns over in her grayve
whenever she hears or sees "data is".
Why do we do such things, anyway? My data are my data. My dataset is
my dataset.
If I have only one contact, then my datum is my datum.
