Check out the California QSO Party the weekend before, October 4-5. If 15  is 
open, there will be activity there.  No guarantee for conditions the  
following week, but the 15 meter path to the west coast can open given a low A  
index, even with minimum solar flux.
 
10 meters, fat chance.  
 
Don't ignore local qso potential on 15 and 10 (and VHF).
