Blank3 days before the Party my 870 went belly up (It's now residing at the
hospital in SD), and frantically trying to remember the ins and outs of my
backup (850) I was having doubts about the whole thing.

Turning on the 850 and hearing zip on 40m except some out of state stations
I knew we were in for a long night. Then the benevolent RF Gods took pity
and opened 40m and all was well again.

Had some minor neighborhood emergency that wasted several hours but managed
to get back on again. An early call to a friend in Fay managed to get my own
County, guess I was the only one on or so I was told.

To those who I did work, many thanks, to those who I didn't work, I
apologize. Too many irons in the fire so to speak. (There's always next
year, Hi).

The 850 worked flawlessly, the Operator? well I have my doubts. Of course
Murphy helped him out a lot. Printed out my report and didn't notice that
the printer selected was the Label machine so I now have 344 perfect labels
of all contacts.

Anyway, I made 344 contacts with 94 multis for a score of 32,336 plus 3
contacts with the W3P stations for another 600 totaling 32,936. Down from
last year but......up in out of staters. Could 80/40 been long??

Had one Dupe but in the heat of battle I pressed F1-save rather than
F4-delete and the program just didn't understand mistakes.

Oh well, had a lot of fun and ran into some old friends again. Sure hope
some one out there can manage to press the magic button and get some Sun
Spots up and running for next year.
