Greetings
         sometimes it takes some encouragement ..like being the bonus 
station...to get a group together to go after a contest or county record 
score.    All I know is that with the W3HA effort it took a good bunch of 
dedicated guys to make it happen.  For a small club,  that says a lot.  You 
could always find them on the bands most any time and that is what the bonus 
station should be able to do.
          I applaud Mike and the Nittany gang efforts.   It is no small 
amount of work and aggrevation.   If they can handle the addition of a multi 
station operation,   I will find a way for my old logging program to figure 
it out.   It was fun.   It was confusing.  And it didn't do much to help my 
score any.    I had problems hearing the stations most of the time and them 
hearing me.   This year I have a new set of guns,  a new attitude,  and a 
new plan to maintain the #2 Carbon Co. station.   I welcome the one bonus 
station but if a club wants to operate and keep multi stations on the air, 
so be it.   Everybody will looking at the same situation and have no better 
advantage than the next guy or gal.  It is the challenge and friendly 
exchanges that brings me back each year and it has been many years.   I 
would also put my vote for "the grump",  always a respectable signal for a 
single op effort.   PSK Rtty bring 'em on and spread them out a little more. 
Now if the K3NG Qrp guy would take a years vacation!!   But then I would 
probably get beat out by a rover!!   That's PAQP.
