As long as I can remember there has been the rotating trophy with the winning club getting its score, name and the year put on the
trophy. The winning club (score) not necessarly the one with the most participants would hold the trophy for the year return it for engraving and get it back if they won again. If not it would go tom another club for that year. Murgas has had its fair share of wins and it is noted on the engraving of the plaque (trophy). We have held the trophy a few times for more than one year in a row. I think Del Leigh and Erie did the same. You mentionted that you have seen it. The only trophy we kept over the years (Murgas)is the one that the Nittany Club sponsored to the club that first broke the Megapoint level. We (Murgas) still have that. The murgas Club have always sponsored the higest out of state score trophy and for the last several years I think it was broke down to a East and West out of state score trophy.
There should be either the rotating trophy re-instated or a trophy to keep sponsored by the Nittany Club since it is your event. You can then count , I think on all the other clubs playing in the party to sponsor all the other trophy awards that you offer. Just my two cents !
