    One of the issues that we have toyed with was "official" software. 
It is difficult to decide what should or should not be official 
software, though. Strange things happen given the dynamic of the party, 
year to year changes, and what will run on a given computer. Even just 
this year, I found out the log program I was going to recommend to 
people - and yes, my favorite -  was probably not going to be updated 
with the addition of digital modes. Too bad, as that software made the 
easiest to check logs of all.
