The couple years I went portable over to Fulton I put up a vertical on 2
and 6.
Worked enough to make it worthwhile doing. There are a bunch of guys that
sit
on Simplex freqs in the Hancock, MD/Berkeley Springs, WV area. Running 5W
QRP
netted me a fair share of extra points. Knowing the area you're operating
from
and where the locals hang out helps. 2 and 6 are not a total loss in all
parts
of the state and you don't need to be in an Urban area.
