With that thought however what about using echolink for the net before the test and working with many of the local repeater owners to carry this net. this would cut down on all the QRM and the "This is the old time old toe nail collectors net we been on this freq since before the marconii thought of the spark gap plese move off "OUR" freq!" not to mention the guy calling CQ PA durring the end of the net last year. i know many here may not use echolink but i'm sure we can work on creating some HF links to support the check ins i would be willing to work with anyone to make the net before the contest more enjoyable with less QRM from the people that aren't going to be happy till there is no more ham radio.
