[PaQSO] PAQSO digital mode addition?

Interesting discussions!

	When we think about the addition of digital modes to the PAQSO party, 
we have to think of reasons and impacts.

	We also need to find a balance between "We need to keep up" and "Don't 
fix what isn't broken".  Being conservative about the process is 
critical in my eyes.

	To me, the priorities would be  to maintain the integrity of the 
records. Changes that simply alter the existing categories are usually 
not a great thing, IMO.

	That much said, what is the impact of adding digital modes to the 
party? Let's say we add PSK31 contacts.......

Pro:
	There shouldn't be too much interference with the rules, simply allow 
2 points per PSK31 contact.

	The addition can spark some interest.

	This gives the CW people some competition.

Con:

	This gives the CW people some competition! Hahah!

I would personally be a bit hesitant to add RTTY. My experience is that 
when RTTY is used in a contest, then low power modes like PSK31 are 
pretty well wiped out. If a couple RTTY stations are operating in the 
PSK frequencies, we're splattered out of operating.

	Just a few personal thoughts on the matter. Proper additions of 
digital modes would probably add something to the party, and not impact 
it adversely.
