Perhaps I'm confusing PAQP with another contest, but . . .
I thought that we already had provision for 1 digital signal, and 1 analog
signal QSO with each station, per band.
SSB, of course, is the analog alternative and CW is the common digital mode.
So . . . why not use a digital mode other than CW? It could make for a
little more activity on Sunday afternoon, especially for the heretofore SSB only
entrants.

WHAT I DON'T WANT TO SUGGEST is that PAQP become a tri-mode contest with SSB
and CW and a second digital mode.

Also, to avoid the "Tower of Babel" syndrome, I think a single machine
decoded digital mode (i.e., Baudot RTTY) should be mandated. We don't need 23
different digital modes all bleating CQ's like lost lambs and working nobody.
After all, the whole idea in a QSO party is to work other stations!

Don't look for me on RTTY, though. My preferred digital mode is CW where I
can achieve rates many times faster than RTTY can achieve.
