2.If I work W3UU in YOR on 40m SSB then the W3UU
mobile goes to YOR and operates 40m SSB, that HAS TO
BE A DUPE for me.
This really does not have to be so if your software features and is set to
"QTHs must match for dupe."
This way, I can work the W3UU fixed station (signing the "fixed" designator,
which I understand to be "/R") and the W3UU mobile (signing "/M") when they
operate from the same county.
I understand that in practicality, W3UU will sign something like "W3UU/M/CUM
or W3UU/R/CUM to let us know firstly whether they are fixed or mobile and to
make it readily apparent which county they are in.
My NA software will not log a call sign with double slant bars so I will just
log the Call and the designator ("M," or "R.") and then enter the county to
see if it is a dupe.
As long as the two types of stations, whether fixed or mobile, identify
uniquely, I can find a way to log it.
I like the idea.
The only thing I am wondering about is whether or not all the logging
programs out there have a "QTHs must match for a dupe feature."
