[PaQSO] Some more thoughts on serial numbers

While waiting on a long program compile here at work, I started thinking
about what was done for serial numbers in the good old days before
computer logging. I'm pretty sure there wasn't any serial number master
doling out numbers to each station as they made their QSO's. Either
each station started at 1 or a unique number and counted up from there.
Multiple QSO # 1's sent by N1ABC would be acceptable as long as they
were on separate bands.

I also think that M/M stations do not have antennas for every band
running to every operating position but more likely two or three at
most. So that operating position starts at 1 and just keeps going.

Now networking comes in handy in letting you pass QSO information around
so you have the other station's exchange after you enter their call or
if they are a dupe if you can only work them once in the contest.

Just my 2 cents.
