Cheap and easy, hamsticks work pretty well, especially if your rig has a
tuner in it...

Screwdriver is a good antenna, but takes too long for band changes.

A Hustler (use supercoils) with a multiband cap is bulky, but works great!

I use the high-buck/high tech option. I have an SGC-230 with the matching
303 whip on one side of the car, and an Icom AH4 feeding a 21ft 'horical' on
the pass side. (The 'horical' is a military MA450 mount, eight feet
vertical, followed by a right angle, followed by thirteen feet of horizontal
whip, with a support at the center and a tension cable back to the support.
Electrically, it behaves very much like an NVIS, and works best out to about
300 miles.)

> Hi Gang:
> I'm thinking of going mobile next year. It seems age has caught up to us
in "shooting the bean shooter" to get the dipoles in the trees and packing
up the car and unpacking. WHat I want to know is does anyone have plans or
know of where I can get plans to build a 40M and 80M mobile antenna. They
can be seperate or 2 coils for each band. Thanks.
