In my case let's just say that the headset mike cord was long enough to
reach all of the pop-up except the front bunk (10 foot interior with a
side dinette). A couple of times I was diving for the dinette to log a
call that was coming back to me. Sometimes you just have to stretch
your legs or attend to other matters :-[
While I didn't have a voice keyer I did call CQ a lot and I too ran with
fast AGC on the 706.
