Page, Bob and everyone else involved please change my email
address to [email protected]. I only have two days left
on the Intrepid ISP.
I have submitted the proposal to K3TKJ to open a reflector
on his QTH.Net server. I paid the fees Saturday night but
have not heard back from him yet. There was no mention in
his original reply email of website space.

>>> I personally think getting a website up and running is a key factor
>>in
>>> our ability to promote this contest to get it started right. I think any
>>> rules presentation should show a website. I know the wa7bmn contest
>>calendar
>>> and arrl's contest calendar very much appreciate a web link to a contest
>>for
>>> full rules.
>>>
>>> What I envision for the web site is basically a rules page and
>>perhaps
>>> clickable links to the committee members for the participating states and
>>to
>>> the committee chairman. That way if someone visits the site, there are
>>> multiple folks than can be asked for questions if needed.
>>>
>>> I'm hoping that those of us on "the committee" will be able to give
>>answers
>>> and those who can't could refer questioners to someone else who can come
>>up
>>> with an answer. I'm also hoping the website can provide a download link to
>>> your software when it is finished.
>>>
>>> I don't think its possible to over volunteer at this point.
>>>
>>> While no one has officially appointed a group chairman, N3FR asked me to
>>> sort of be the central point of contact, especially during these
>>> developmental stages. So that is what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to use
>>> the experience of my 14+ years on the MDC Party committee (12 as chairman)
>>> to systematically put together a plan of action which includes an early
>>> draft of the rules. With the final draft we will need a full chairman, be
>>it
>>> me or someone else. That chairman is the person who will be the main point
>>> of contact for Mid Atlantic Contest Communication and follow through to
>>the
>>> party and eventual issuance of awards.
>>>
>>> That being said.... I think the earlier we get things done, the earlier we
>>> can get the event publicised to try to make it work from the onset.
>>>
>>> So personally I would favor knowing we have a website and a webmaster for
>>> it.
>>>
>>> Sadly....at this stage our budget is from the pockets of the volunteers.
>>> N2OCW is working on paying possibly for a new non yahoo listserver at
>>> qth.net. I suspect that for the first year, I'll be designing the award
>>> certificates and printing them. Hopefully we can find sponsors for mailing
>>> of awards (postage) and other things as we need them. Right now we are
>>> proceeding with faith that all things contest are possible. Keep the
>>faith?
