[PaQSO] Field Day Query

I have participated in a number of Field Day's (FD) with Ed, WA3SES, and he
advises that we made three (3) QSO's on 160 meters back in 1995. His
records also indicate that that was the first and last time we made 160
meter QSO's during FD.

Best regards,

Bob, N3FR (portable WAR county in October)

Can any of you relate any experience with 160 meters
on Field Day.
What I'm interested in is, whether it's worth the effort
to put up an antenna. And, also, is the activity sufficient
to warrant shifting one of the major producer positions
from the QSO-maker band?
Maybe the GOTA position could benefit from using 160,
so there isn't interference from being on the same band
as one of the majors.
Then there is always the question of atmospherics !

If you are active, look for W3GS (Girl Scouts) (Good Samaritan)
(Great Sex) (Gold Silver)
The site is at Grumpy Acres. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood.
