OK OK OKAY OKEIGH
I've had enough.
First you're concerned about, and looking for ways to increase
activity.
Now you want to run it for 24 straight. What's that gonna
get ya? Groggy ops, that's what.
Or, you want everyone to take a break at their discretion. So,
they go until 4AM local to catch all the leftcoasters, and don't get
back on until Noon. The rest of us are on from 9AM but no
activity, cause it's all sleeping !
Need I remind you, this is the best damned QSO Party around !
Don't mess with it. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.
I've been doing this thing for a long time, and I only note a
slowing down of activity Sunday from about 2 to 5.
And, besides, I usually catch most, if not all, of the
left-coast mults. So, maybe you should hone your skills
a little more.
If you want change, for change sake, then make all
VHF/UHF contacts worth 2 points, regardless of mode.
If you can do that, I'll still beat your tookus.
Maybe I should go after something to enhance my score,
like giving all portables a final mult of 1.2. Oh heck, why
not 1.5.
My Q rate starts out about 120 for the first hour, then slowly
drops until Mdt, then it's about 50. Sunday it starts at about
60 and slowly drops to about 40 until a couple hours before
the end when it goes up some. Overall total is about 50-52.
I do better on 20 than anything other than 40 & 80. Sometimes
get reasonable returns on 15, but 160 usually outruns 10 &
15 combined. The big problem with 160 is - the narrow
bandwidth without a tuner. But, you can be sure there is
activity all the way up above 1900 for 2 plus hours Sat. nite.
Nuff said. Hope I didn't bore you too much.
BTW - It looks good for UNI this year
