Hello to the group. Nice to see activity on the PaQP reflector.
I for one appreciate the opportunity to review the results prior to the
official list being published as it gives us the chance to provide input if
we see something missing or possibly in error. Nice gesture. Thanks.
This also gives the statistician man, Ed (WA3SES) the first chance to
digest, sort, collate, mix, columnize, prioritize, and finalize, how he and
I did compared to everyone else. Other than the actual contest itself, I
find his stats and reports to be one of the best parts of this contest.
This also gives us the excuse we need for an evening of "what if's", "if
only I had's", and of course the inevitable "I can't believe I didn't"
thrown in for good measure. All of this supported by a round (or 2) of our
favorite beverages. This is what contesting is all about. Now, if only my
final score was more than his. I need to find a way to beat this cat. He's
been whooping my butt for the past 3 or 4 (geesh, maybe even 5) years.
I also like the idea of resurrecting the PaQP get together. That's really a
fun time.
Best regards.
Bob, N3FR
