In agreement with Bill; K3ANS:
I've said it before, but what the hell....
The operator who struggles to copy the weak QRP signals is the one who
deserves the bonus points, just as Bill says. But I work everything I
hear... it all counts!
And adding power multipliers is silly; including giving QRP or CW only
stations a 2 or 3 multiplier or extra points. To get even with SSB? Who
cares; if you work for awards and the contest doesn't have separate
categories, avoid the contest. Many of them recognize most significant
modes and operating methods (QRP, multi, etc.)
I don't really care about awards; I do it for fun and never look back
when it's over!
I hope to be there next month with about 100W and Hustler antennas on 40,
20, 15 and 10 - and probably 80M at night.
Good luck, QRP or SSB or KW... I'll be on CW.
