I believe there should be no multipliers for qrp also, I win Pike county most
times because of it. Then I realized I didn't have to use the hw-8 and miss out
on ssb so I used my ft-920 with the bells and whisles on all modes, what a
differance. I would feel bad about the advantage if there were another station
to compete against in Pike. You see my goal for many years in this wonderful
contest has simply been to work all counties, came close within 3 once.
despite my repeated failure every year, its been great meeting old calls each
time
and making someone elses day being their last one needed. I think the best is
honing my operating skills and antennas. all wire, no aluminum(but it is
outside).
I also have never been accused of splattering over the band-hi.
I must agree with k3ans that he does the work, I've had many use valuable time
up getting my exchange correct and that is definately a "gentleman operator" of
the highest class IMHO. kudos.
Anyway I'll be there, as usual, and if at the end I once again miss
getting
all counties, I shall put my old Leslie Gore(not related to Al) 45rpm on and
listen to "its my party and I'll cry if I want to" end of humor - 72 (73 for the
qro folk).
